The Messiness of Motherhood

By

I have decided that every once and awhile I will participate in the daily prompt here on WordPress. I can not promise that these responses will be long, but will be a glimpse of how these prompts inspire me.

Today’s word was messy. What immediately came to mind was how I currently have dishes all over my kitchen countertop and my kids toys are scattered all across the floor. But I do not associate our mess with dirty. Our house feels lived in and active. I am a part of my kids lives. I enjoy playing with them, creating stories and helping them learn what life is all about. From this perspective, my life is very messy.

I hope this resinates with other mothers out there. It’s hard to understand exactly what motherhood is like until you are in that situation. What does messy mean to you? Leave a comment below.

Until next time…
